The Mitchell Family Story
Peak Power Systems was founded in 1986 by Bob Mitchell in Lakeside, California. Growing up in East County, Bob understood firsthand the challenges of frequent power outages that plague our hillside communities. He started the business with a clear mission: help East County families protect their homes with reliable backup power.
What began as a one-man operation has grown into a respected family business. Today, Bob works side-by-side with his son Tyler Mitchell, passing down nearly 40 years of generator expertise. Together, they've installed over 1,200 whole home standby generators throughout East County San Diego.

Tyler grew up learning the generator business from his father Bob. After earning his electrician's license and completing Generac's certified installer training, Tyler joined Peak Power Systems to continue the family legacy.
